BLR024 Over based Calcium TBN 400 TBN is ahighly alkaline liquid with detergent properties. Over based Calcium 400 TBN iscompatible with most mineral base oils, white oils, and synthetic base stocks.Over based Calcium 400 TBN is highly alkaline, so it neutralizes acidicmaterial and combustion by-products, thus increasing corrosion resistance andincreasing oil life. Over based Calcium TBN 400 is typically used as athickener, emulsifier and rust inhibitor in crankcase lubricants. It is used inthe manufacture of calcium tbn greases and engine oils that are ideal for usein high temperature, high pressure applications and for use in environmentsexposed to salt. Applications include automotive, diesel, marine, metal workingand railroad lubricants.
